I’m learning how to use these. I use to draw as a young person and am getting back into it after a few decades of sabbatical… so these are really fun to go crazy with. I got a mini water color pad that is 140 lb (300 gsm) so I can do focused studies of specific subjects or techniques I want yo improve. It’s very exciting to test out the colors and effects. I got the 120 watercolor pencil set. It’s addictive. I would give this to anyone who likes watercolor pencils. The colors are rich and brilliant. They layer and mix well. I’m going to get some gorgeous pieces from this set. I’ve already used them for several hours and I’ve had them for two days. I’ll probably carry a few in my purse for creative bursts away from home. I love them. They’re beautiful.

Best set of pencils I’ve bought in a long time. Haven’t used them as the water colours yet, just as regular pencils but they worked great!

I bought these for my pyrography projects and absolutely love them! They blend wonderfully, are soft and easy to work with! Only downfall is when sharpining them be careful as the tip may fall out. Other than that HIGHLY recommend!!

I was looking for artist quality watercolor pencils. My friend found you on Google and told me that your watercolor pencils were on sale and he looked at the reviews and they were good. That's enough for me to try out your product.

Tremendous quality and value. Packaging , inserts and support are far better than much higher priced supplies…or any supplies for that matter. Highly recommend Castle products for creativity at any level.

I tried Castle Arts gel pen and colored/watercolor pencils after already owning the much more expensive brands and found that the quality is comparable if not better! I love the smoothness and ease of coverage in my work, and Castle Arts has a customer for life! Now I want ALL their products!

wanted to try watercolor pencils on shrink plastic. I got so many colors for such a good price that even if they don't work on this medium I'm sure I will find a use for them!

I would like to be able to order single pencils from the 120 pencil watercolor pencil set. Is this possible?

This is my 1st set of Water coloring pencils. They are soft and creamy to use. I love all of the colors. They work great. I love them so much that I had to buy a 2nd set. The colors are beautiful when you see them on paper. The Castle Arts customer service team, totally Rocks. Thanks again Castle Arts. DE

The 120 colors watercolor pencils are all rich, fantastic colors. A great selection of gradients of colors, making it easier to smoothly shade from one color to the next. Smooth, silky flow while working with with the pencils.
Given the right sharpener very long, sharp points can be obtained in order to do very fine detail work

I'm an absolute beginner to using colors in artwork. Other than using crayons as a kid, I've only dabbled with pencil drawing, so I'm pretty clueless. Recently, though, a family member bought me some adult coloring books and cheap colored pencils to occupy me during a hospital stay and recovery. I liked the idea, but the pencils were just awful. They were like trying to color with brittle plastic. The pigment was faint and the core kept breaking. I just ended up frustrated with a sore hand. I decided to look for something nicer and found Castle Arts through online recommendations. I ordered a couple packs - some "regular" colored pencils and some watercolor pencils. Both are very nice, but the watercolor pencils are my favorite. They lay down color so nicely and blend easily even without water. This pic is my first attempt using them. I almost feel like an artist! Lol. They make me want to learn more. I would definitely recommend.

Bought for my niece, along with Prismacolor Premier, Caran D'ache Pablo, Dick Blick colored pencils and Faber Castelle Polychromos. Figured she could test out ideas first rather than use her artist colored pencils for preliminary work. Turns out with the Prismacolor, quite a few colors are not lightfast anyway and just testing these on paper, they looked similar, very slightly harder. And the watercolor pencils seem highly pigmented, blend really well. Can you give us the lightfastness on each of your pencils? Because if you have some pencils that are lightfast I or II, I would highly recommend. If lightfast, you could give the Prismacolor's a run for their money, though not the other brands.
